{"id":670,"date":"2019-06-09T13:31:57","date_gmt":"2019-06-09T13:31:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/exilarte.org\/?p=670"},"modified":"2019-08-12T08:10:34","modified_gmt":"2019-08-12T08:10:34","slug":"political-theater-in-exile","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/exilarte.org\/en\/political-theater-in-exile","title":{"rendered":"Political Theater in Exile"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The exil.arte Center expanded on 21.05.2019 its exhibition &#8220;When I compose, I&#8217;m back in Vienna&#8221; with a portrayal of the life and work of Erwin Piscator and Maria Ley Piscator under the title &#8220;Political Theater in Exile&#8221;.<br>This expansion is part of The Lahr of Leitis Academy &amp; Archive, which was recently acquired by the exil.arte center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The exhibition shows Piscator&#8217;s significant influence on the development of the theater on both sides of the Atlantic. Piscator firmly believed that &#8220;art only serves its purpose if it contributes to human improvement.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The exhibtion is open daily (Tuesday &#8211;
